Metal Pressing Expertise 

JET PRESS have been designing and manufacturing metal pressings for over 40 years and we make many of our standard metal parts. We also design, prototype and manufacture various custom and bespoke parts for our customers. Some of the parts we make were first designed in the early years of the car industry and are still being used in modern vehicles. Now we work across a wide range of industries in over 50 countries. 

When we work with designers, we focus on delivering the best possible engineering solution. But we are also aware of timescales, budgets and other commercial considerations essential to delivering a project on brief, on time and on budget.

Metal Pressing and Metal Stamping capabilities 

We have plant in our manufacturing facility capable of forming variations of flat metal strip into a wide range of shapes and sizes used in an extensive range of fasteners and engineering components. These range from simple clips to highly engineered bespoke developments. 

The products we make include everything from hose bands for modern turbochargers used in the automotive industry, to edge and cable clips for hundreds of different automotive pipe and panel fastening applications.   

Thanks to our highly experienced and skilled workforce, we are able to manufacture and maintain strict tolerance and quality levels. We can also adapt the existing tooling to suit specific customer requirements. 

MANUFACTURING PRESS LIST

We have a range of metal pressing and metal stamping high performing machines. We use them for manufacturing parts in our standard range and increasingly for adapted or bespoke parts.

 

AUTO AND CONCEPT MULTISLIDE PRESS

  • Designed specifically to produce our range of spring steel standard fasteners. ​
  • This gives us excellent manufacturing speeds, minimal material waste and consistent high-quality parts

RM30 AND RM50 BIHLERS

These produce accurate complex metal clips and pressings.

60TON CHIN FONG POWER PRESS

This is part of the new investment to greatly increase our manufacturing capability with greater capability in different materials, component size and thickness and manufacturing flexibility.

Along with plant we have invested in people. Our Engineering Design team.  Extra capacity and more varied experience means we can design, prototype and manufacture bespoke parts for customers to meet their application requirements. These include specialist metal stampings or metal pressing pressings, plastic mouldings or mixed materials fasteners and components.

Metal Pressings STANDARD LINE

A selection of our standard product line which is available in various finishes.

EDGE CLIPS

Edge Clips use barbs as a method of securing the clip to the panel. We supply various types including Standard, D Type, S Type and Extrusion Mounting to suit a range of applications.

CABLE EDGE CLIPS

Cable Edge Clips are quick and easy to install. They push or tap onto the edge of the panel or I-beam with no special installation tools required. Barbs secure the Cable Edge Clips securely in place. Various types are available, Standard, Double, Heavy-Duty, Flared and Multi-fit.

SPRING STEEL HOSE CLAMPS

Spring Steel Band Clamps are designed for the retention of low pressure, light-duty hoses.

IN-AIR CABLE CLIPS

In-Air Cable Clips hold pipes, cables or tubular components to any other pipe or cable running in parallel.

TRIM CLIPS - HEADED

Headed Trim Clips have barbs which enable them to remain on the trim panel but will disengage from the base panel to facilitate removal or replacement.

SELF-THREADING NUTS - REGULAR TYPE

Self-Threading Nuts form their own thread on plastic, die cast or mild steel studs. The thread-forming displaces material without producing swarf.

DOOR LATCHES

These Door Latches are suitable for metal cabinet doors and access panels. 

METAL PRONGED PANEL SPRINGS

These Metal Pronged Panel Springs are self-piercing and designed to be used with low-density materials.

KNOB CLIPS - REMOVABLE

These popular lightweight removable Knob Clips are designed to fasten moulded door knobs or rotary switches to shafts.

METAL LINKAGE CLIPS

One-piece Metal Linkage Clips provide a quick and easy method of attaching rods used for motion transfer, such as throttle and door linkages.

TOOL CLIP | METAL SPRING CLIPS

Tool Clips rotate through 360° allowing pipes or cables to follow their natural contour without vibration or chafing. 

ARMOURED CONTROL CABLE CLIPS

A great solution for holding armoured cables firmly in place, but these cable clips can also be easily released for re-use or when servicing is required.

Through our highly-experienced and skilled workforce, we are able to manufacture custom metal pressings and stampings and maintain strict tolerance levels and also adapt the existing tooling to suit specific customer requirements.

MANUFACTURING HIstory

The JET PRESS facility still manufactures products for which the original design can be traced back to the 1940’s. Over the decades JET PRESS has manufactured hundreds of different components, that have been used throughout the automotive industry and an ever-growing range of industrial manufacturing applications.

JET PRESS continues its manufacturing tradition developing into evolving markets, such as medical, sustainable energy and electric vehicles.
